Fjåk is a bean to bar chocolate maker based in Norway. It describes itself as the first bean to bar maker in Norway.
This 100% dark chocolate bar is made from cacao grown in the Semuliki Forest region of Uganda. The beans undergo a 144 hour box fermentation process with constant turning, followed by 6.5 days of sun drying on portable raised racks at a centralized facility in Bumate managed by Latitude Trade Co. The bar is refined in a melanger using organic cocoa beans and organic cocoa butter. It presents a flavour profile featuring nuts, tobacco, leather, roasted almonds, and black tea. This bar was recognized with an Academy of Chocolate Gold award in 2022.
