Fjåk is the first bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Norway, situated in the scenic Hardanger fjord. As an artisan producer, the company emphasizes Scandinavian craftsmanship in every step of the chocolate-making process, utilizing a melanger for refining the cocoa mass. The factory maintains a focus on small-batch production to ensure precision in the final character of their bars.

This 100% dark bar consists solely of organic cocoa beans and added organic cocoa butter, resulting in a composition that showcases the pure essence of the cacao. The beans originate from the Semuliki Forest in Bundibugyo, Uganda, where they undergo a controlled fermentation process in eucalyptus boxes for 5.5 to 6.5 days before being sun-dried on raised racks. The resulting profile presents a sturdy intensity featuring notes of nuts, tobacco, leather, roasted almonds, and black tea.

Fjåk maintains a commitment to direct trade practices when sourcing their raw materials. The 100% Uganda bar carries Organic, Vegan, and Gluten Free certifications. Its quality and production methods were recognized with a Gold award at the 2022 Academy of Chocolate Awards.
