Help your guests remember the bars they loved, and who made them

Guests taste dozens of bars in an afternoon and forget whose table each one was on. Chof is the app where they rate each bar at the stall and keep it with its maker, without making an account. Listing your festival on chof.nl is free.

What your festival gets

  • Guests keep what they tasted

Each bar a guest rates stays in their My Bars with its maker, so the one they loved is still there after the festival. No account needed.

  • Your makers stay findable

Every bar maker in your lineup has a maker page and bar pages on Chof that stay up after the festival, and guests who rated their bars keep them.

  • A free page for your festival

Dates, venue, tickets, Add to calendar and your lineup with each maker’s bars, on a page you can link from your site and ticket emails. It stays up after the festival, with the lineup.

The festival section in the app

On the festival days, Chof puts your festival in front of guests in your region and lists the makers in your lineup. This is the paid part. The bars guests rate stay in their My Bars after the festival. Example screens from the current app, with its clock set to the Indian Cacao & Craft Chocolate Festival’s dates.

  1. Chof welcome screen with a line for the Indian Cacao & Craft Chocolate Festival reading "Rate the bars you taste. No account needed.", above Create free account, Sign in and Browse as a guest
    01

New guests start at your festival

On the festival days, someone who opens Chof for the first time on a phone in your region sees your festival on the welcome screen, and can rate bars straight away without making an account.

  2. Chof Home with a lane for the Indian Cacao & Craft Chocolate Festival at the top, "From makers exhibiting there", showing bars from Paul and Mike, Zoroy and Mason & Co
    02

Chof users see it on Home

Guests who already use Chof get your festival at the top of Home, with bars from the makers exhibiting there. The festival’s name opens its section.

  3. Manam Chocolate's maker page in Chof, with its bars under the heading "Rate the bars you taste at this stall"
    03

    They find the maker

Your festival’s section lists the bar makers in your lineup. Each maker’s page shows their bars on Chof under “Rate the bars you taste at this stall”, and the QR sign on their booth opens that page. Those are the maker’s bars on Chof, not a list of what is on the table.

  4. Chof rating sheet for Manam Indian Origin Tablet No. 5 with "Where did you get it?" set to ICCF 2026, filled in from Manam Chocolate in the festival list
    04

They rate it, and it stays with the maker

“Where did you get it?” is already filled in with your festival. Afterwards the bar stays in the guest’s My Bars with its maker, and with where to buy it when Chof knows a shop that sells it.

The free part: your festival’s page on chof.nl

The Indian Cacao & Craft Chocolate Festival page lists its exhibitors with their bars on Chof, how to use Chof at the festival, and how the crowd favourite is counted. Every listed festival gets a page like it, and its lineup fills in once we have the exhibitor list.

The listing is free. The app section is a paid tool.

Every festival gets the same free page. Organisers who want the section in the app, signs and setup pay for those tools, priced per festival.

What you do

To be listed, send your dates. The rest is optional, and we do the setup.

  • To be listed

Send your dates, and the lineup when you have it

Dates and a venue are enough to list your festival. Send the exhibitor list, or a link to it, and we add every exhibitor and link the chocolate makers to their maker pages and bars on Chof. You don’t tell us which bars each stall brings, and your vendors have nothing to fill in.

  • Optional

Put the link in your ticket emails

Add your festival’s chof.nl page to the ticket and reminder emails, so guests can see the lineup and get the app before they arrive.

  • With the festival section

Put a QR sign on each bar maker’s booth

We send a sign for each bar maker. Guests scan it with their phone camera. On a phone with Chof it opens that maker’s bars, ready to rate with your festival filled in; on a phone without Chof it opens the maker’s page on chof.nl.

Questions organisers ask

  • What is free, and what costs money?

Listing on chof.nl is free. The festival section in the app, booth signs and setup are a paid package, priced per festival, so email us and we will send a price. No payment changes a Chof Score, a rating or a ranking.

  • Do guests need the app, or an account?

Your festival’s page on chof.nl works in any browser. To rate a bar, guests use the Chof app, without an account. With the festival section, phones in your region see your festival on the festival days: on the welcome screen for guests new to Chof, and at the top of Home for everyone else.

  • How do we get listed?

Email the dates and the venue to felipe@chof.nl, and the exhibitor list when you have it. Listing is free.

  • Do vendors have to do anything?

No. Chof adds the lineup from your exhibitor list and links each chocolate maker to its bars on Chof. A bar that is not on Chof yet gets its page when someone scans it in the app.

  • What about bonbons, fudge and baked goods?

Chof covers chocolate bars only, so exhibitors who sell other things are not in the app.

  • What do the vendors get?

A maker page and bar pages on Chof that stay up after the festival, and their bars kept in the My Bars of every guest who rated them.

  • Can we have our own app?

There is no separate app. The festival section sits inside Chof, under your festival’s name, so guests who already have Chof see it too.

  • Can Chof run a crowd favourite award?

Yes, if you want one. Chof counts the ratings given on the festival days, and the method is published on your festival’s page before it opens. See how the crowd favourite is counted on the Indian Cacao & Craft Chocolate Festival page.
