Academy of Chocolate
The Academy of Chocolate awards were launched in 2005 to identify, recognise and showcase talented chocolate producers and fine chocolates. Products are marked on a range of criteria by multiple judges working independently, and the scores decide the gold, silver and bronze winners in each category. The judges include chocolatiers, producers, journalists and food writers.

International Chocolate Awards
The International Chocolate Awards describe themselves as the largest craft chocolate competition worldwide, held since 2012. Competitions run in a growing number of countries and regions, in bean-to-bar and craft chocolatier rounds, and winners of the regional competitions are judged together at the World Final. Judges taste the entries blind and score them individually.

No. Results are listed by year, then by competition and medal within one awarding body. A Gold from the Academy of Chocolate and a Gold from the International Chocolate Awards are different prizes, so Chof does not compare them.
