This bar is born from the lush landscape of Hacienda Betulia in the Antioquia region of Colombia. It represents a precise approach to chocolate making, where the identity of the farm is preserved through every stage of the transformation from bean to bar.

The sensory experience of Betulia Ocho is defined by its sophisticated aromatic complexity. With a cacao content of 70%, the bar offers a profile reminiscent of a walk through a wild garden. Enthusiasts will detect distinct notes of thyme and forest herbs, rounded out by delicate floral undertones and a surprising hint of peanut. This profile is the result of a meticulously controlled roast at 130 degrees Celsius for 18 minutes, which coaxes out these intricate flavors from the carefully sourced beans.

Quality begins long before the roasting process. The cacao for this micro-lot undergoes a rigorous post-harvest protocol, featuring a 5-day box fermentation with six turns, followed by a patient 14-day open-air sun-drying process on wood. The final composition remains minimalist and pure, consisting only of cacao beans, cocoa butter, and beet sugar. This dedication to craft and origin was recognized with a Gold award at the International Chocolate Awards Belgian 2019.
