This specific 80 gram bar features a 2021 harvest from the Kilombero Valley in Tanzania. By working with high quality Trinitario beans, Krak highlights the unique terroir of the region, ensuring each batch captures the specific characteristics of the season and the soil.

The sensory experience of this 70% dark chocolate is defined by its remarkable complexity. Tasters often discover a vibrant spectrum of red fruit, berries, and apples, which transitions into deeper notes of plums and tropical fruit. A subtle foundation of wood tones provides balance, leading into a finish reminiscent of rich brownie batter. Because the chocolate is not alkalized, it retains the bright acidity and nuanced flavor profile inherent to the beans.

Craftsmanship is evident in the meticulous processing of the cacao at the source. The beans undergo a six day fermentation period in boxes lined with banana leaves and rice bags using a three tier cascade system. Following this, they are sun dried on tables for five to seven days.
