The Choroní 76% bar is produced by aroko, an artisan maker dedicated to bean-to-bar chocolate manufacturing. This specific bar draws its identity from the Hacienda La Sabaneta farm, located within the renowned cacao-growing region of Choroní, Venezuela. By working with specific regional lots, the producer highlights the characteristics inherent to this Venezuelan territory.

The processing approach centers on the use of a melanger for refining and a controlled tempering stage to achieve the final structure. This technical focus allows the flavor profile to emerge with notes of wood, honey, and fruit. The recipe remains minimal, consisting only of cacao beans, cane sugar, and cocoa butter, which allows the natural character of the Hacienda La Sabaneta crop to remain the focus of the tasting experience.

While the recipe is kept simple, the manufacturing environment processes various ingredients, as the bar may contain traces of hazelnuts, peanuts, milk, almonds, and pistachios. Each bar is portioned at 50 grams, providing a focused amount of the finished chocolate for evaluation.
