The production process emphasizes the raw material, as evidenced by an ingredient list consisting solely of cacao nibs, cane sugar, and additional cacao butter, intentionally omitting lecithin, vanillin, and vegetable fats.

The flavor profile of this bar is defined by a lively and fruity character, showing distinct notes of currants and candied citrus tempered by a buttery finish. Marou describes one process for its range: the beans ferment in wooden boxes lined with banana leaves, then dry in the sun. This traditional approach preserves the bold qualities inherent in the Vietnamese harvest.
